Summary
This FBI file section collects correspondence, name checks and memos about civilian UFO groups and writers from the late 1950s to 1966, plus photographs submitted by Joseph F. Perry. It includes April 1964 Albuquerque teletypes reporting that Socorro police officer Lonnie Zamora, "CONSIDERED SOBER, DEPENDABLE, MATURE," saw an object "OVAL SHAPED, SIMILAR TO FOOTBALL, POSSIBLY TWENTY FEET LONG" with a red insignia, and a second reported incident at La Madera, N.M., where a state police captain noted a scorched circular area. The teletypes say military officers advised the incidents were not part of a known exercise and that the FBI was not investigating.

Summary covers selected pages of a 290-page section and is not exhaustive; many pages are poorly legible.
