Summary
This AARO information paper explains how forced perspective and parallax can lead observers and sensors to misjudge the size, range, and speed of objects. It says these effects "can frequently explain excessively large sizes or high speeds described in UAP reports." It uses illustrated examples, including a tourist photo with the Leaning Tower of Pisa and a moving airborne sensor viewing a stationary object over a river.
Note
Explanatory paper; it cites no specific case.
