Summary
A memo from the CIA's Chicago office to the Contact Division says Dr. Leon Davidson was told by telephone that his question about a 'space message and its transmitter' could not be resolved because the records had been destroyed. It says Davidson accepted this but hinted he might take up the matter again. The memo calls the answer 'noncommittal and evasive' and says it was 'hardly fair to Davidson.'
