Summary
An "unevaluated" CIA report built from a U.S. attendee's letter about the Conference on the Origins of Life in Yerevan. It summarizes a "highly speculative" paper by N. S. Kardashev and Andrei Sakharov on a charged mass that collapses and "bounce[s]" into "a different part of space time," and gives the attendee's views of several Soviet scientists. It also says a member of a Soviet committee set up "to investigate unusual phenomena, in other words, flying saucers" gave a talk that Shklovskiy and others "joked and laughed" at, and quotes Shklovskiy as saying the committee "has little if any scientific talent."
Note
UFOs appear only in one paragraph about a conference talk; coords are Yerevan city center.
