Summary

This 116-page file collects military correspondence from Sandia Base and related commands, including routine security inspection records alongside reports and investigations of "green fireball," disc and similar sightings in the area. It includes a compilation that sorts sightings into green fireball phenomena, discs or variations, and probable meteors, an analysis by Dr. Lincoln LaPaz, and recommendations such as high-altitude dust collection beneath fireball paths. It also references conferences on the subject held on Feb. 17 and Oct. 14, 1949.

Note

A large, mixed administrative file; the fireball material sits alongside mundane base paperwork and the LaPaz conference series (see DOE-UAP-D004).
