Summary
A mission report states that during a weapons calibration in Ayn al Asad Airbase's restricted operating zone, after weapons release the weapons systems officer and combat systems officer "OBSERVED AN UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT 'FLY' THROUGH THE AIRCRAFT SENSORS AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED." It says "THE UAP CREATED AN IR LENS FLARE ON THE MX-20 & MX-25 SENSORS, WHICH INDICATED A SIGNIFICANT HEAT SIGNATURE COMING FROM THE OBJECT," and that "IT IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME WHETHER AN OBJECT DETACHED ITSELF FROM THE PRIMARY UAP." The aircraft callsign and other details are redacted, and the report assesses the event as benign.
Note
One of the few reports in this batch where the crew describes a sensor effect, not just a sighting.
