Summary
An AARO memo reproduces the free-form narrative of Witness 1, a federal law enforcement special agent, who on the second night saw a large glowing ball like "a swirly pattern of bright lava" near a hill face (later range-found at about 1,100 meters), then twice saw an orange light flare over a hillside and release three red lights, each time with a flash over the horizon. Hours later the agent describes a "car" with one red round and one white square light that moved off the road, seemed to hover without kicking up dust, and flew away as a darker object. An hour or two after that, the agent reports a translucent object floating 15–20 feet up amid dust and web-like material, through which a star and the hill crest could be seen.
Note
A personal account; the agent's own size and distance figures are estimates, one of them later checked with a range finder.
