Summary
Witness 5, a federal agent, gives a timed log: at 1858 a large orange light seemed suspended over a ridge peak, and around 1918 a large red orb released two smaller red orbs, followed by a white flash in the western sky; the agents set up a camera and later learned other teams could not hear their radio replies. At about 0430 the next morning, a white square light and a red round light about 2–3 feet above the road drifted off the pavement and hovered over bushes at 15–20 mph, and through night-vision goggles a "very thin line," maybe 4 feet wide, remained after the lights went off. Around 0530 the agents saw faint lights in a fixed formation rising near floating cobwebs, and later found fresh, sharp round scrapes in the dirt around one plant.
