Summary
A FEAF Air Technical Intelligence Liaison Office report forwards a 7th Air Force message: an F-86D pilot, 1st Lt. Ted Brunson, saw a round, blinking white light that turned with his interceptor, climbed over it and circled it for about 10 minutes until low fuel forced him back to Andersen AFB. A lighted weather balloon had been launched from the Navy communications station at 1432Z and tracked to 20,000 feet at 1500Z. The summary concludes that unless the balloon "malfunctioned and remained at a relatively low altitude, the Unidentified Flying Object can not be readily explained."
Note
The weather-balloon explanation is offered as possible, not confirmed; coords are Guam island generally, not an exact site.
