Summary
The U.S. Air Attaché in Stockholm forwards a translated Swedish newspaper account in which Transair chief pilot Capt. Ulf Christiernsson describes a shining, metallic, nearly round object passing about 600 meters below his DC-3 for six to seven seconds. It quotes a Defense Staff communiqué saying an investigation was under way. A source in the Royal Swedish Air Board who knew the pilot calls him well-liked but "most untrustworthy," and the report notes that this source personally doubts the story.
Note
Main account is a translated press interview (Swedish newspaper, credited as such); coords are the town of Hässleholm, not an exact site.
