Summary
A 55-page FBI Seattle file that opens with July 1952 newspaper clippings, including the Columbia Basin News of Pasco, on local "saucer" sightings, followed by office memos logging telephone reports. In a Feb. 1953 memo, Seattle Civil Defense relays a woman's report of "a very large object" "quite high" directly above and somewhat west of Sand Point Naval Air Station, "like a large parachute" and "so silver" she could hardly look at it, which appeared to fade away to the north after about two minutes; another report, relayed by an intelligence office, describes a bright object over Sand Point Naval Air Station seen from the University Bridge. Letters from members of the public follow; much of the scan is hard to read.
Note
The press clippings are third-party material (Columbia Basin News, Seattle Post-Intelligencer); the FBI memos only record what callers said.
