Summary
Page 48 of the Gemini VII air-to-ground voice transcript (Volume I), marked CONFIDENTIAL, covering Guaymas and then Houston. At 04:42:49 and 04:43:02 the capsule communicator asks "Was it a strap or was it possibly some tape such as reflective tape?" At 04:43:19 the pilot answers that "It was hard to tell", that "It looked like the strap might have been tape but it came forward and slapped on the front of the spacecraft", and that "Just now we saw the shadow of the tape on the nose."
