Summary

Four transcript pages from the Apollo 12 air-to-ground voice transcription. The lunar module pilot reports that looking out the AOT in the dark he sees "particles of light, flashes of light" that "just seem to come from... behind me" and "sailing off in space," adding, "I was thinking they're dropping from my water boiler, but it looks like some of those things are escaping the Moon." Later pages cover a pulsing "all 8's flash" on the AGS display that Houston says is "probably an EMI," and a tracking light the crew thinks has burned out.

Note

Contemporaneous crew remarks; the astronaut himself offers the water-boiler explanation as one possibility.
