Summary
A redacted statement says a senior U.S. intelligence official, with federal and state partners, flew a helicopter search of a mountain area at a U.S. facility where personnel had earlier reported orbs or lights and thuds. It says an observation post saw under FLIR an orb "described as 'super-hot' hovering at ground level" that moved at high speed and "broke into two objects," and later reported an orb "came within ten feet" of the helicopter. The witness and pilots then report repeated groups of four to six orbs flaring up and down in horizontal formation and "a swarm of lights"; the witness comments that "the orbs appeared to break off" and pursue military aircraft that were on a training mission in the airspace.
